When required, products can be plated either chemically or through an electrolytical process. The production lines are capable of utilising nickel, copper, silver and gold. Products may furthermore be finished mechanically or by electrolysis.
We controlthe quality of the plating with the Fischerscope X-ray spectrometer.
Materials to be coated
The most common materials to be coated are steel, aluminum, brass, copper and stainless steel.
As a coating material we use e.g. copper, nickel, silver and gold.
Copper gives a shiny surface that evens out scratches and machining marks of the surface.
Bright nickel is a electrolytic plating with a good coverage. Nickel enables bending of the piece without the coating to be cracked. Chemical nickel is antimagnetic. Percentage of the phosphorus in the coating is about 10 %.
Silver suits especially for the electronic components. It gives a good electrical and temperature condactivity and improves the solderability.
Gold is widely used in the connectors of the electronic industry due to the good electrical condactivity. Gold coating gives a beautiful shiny surface that reflects light.
Anodising is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts. Anodizing improves the corrosion and wear resistance of the aluminum.
